Projects -Honey-do- Lists
Have a list of projects to complete?
As homes age it is natural for them to require maintenance, and in our busy lives its easy to fall behind and out of the sudden, realize the several areas that need attention.
Rejuvenating
Part of a typical project list includes rejuvenating aged parts or appliances in your house, including as an example:
Repairing damages
When elements of your house have exceeded their useful life it will become necessary to replace them, examples are:
Also
Worn garage door seals
Broken kitchen door hinges
Broken handles
Loose towel holders
And more…
Preventing additional damages
When the available budget does not allow for a full repair, project lists may include containment actions to prevent further damage to your home.
Examples include:
- Moisture due to water leaks or infiltration
- Rot in wooden components
- Gaps that allow critters and rodents to access your attic and/or crawl spaces
- Broken or cracked doors
- Damaged thresholds with excessive gaps
- Dripping toilets, faucets, or garden bibs
- Fallen fences or fences’ gates and/or posts
Maintaining your home’s value
An important consideration is that over time damages can accumulate and reach a point where they affect your property’s value.
This is particularly possible when the overall appearance of the house, and experience as you walk through it gives a sensation of “ran-down” house.
Keeping a cadence in maintaining key items in your home will not only keep it at its peak condition, but also maintain its overall “curb appeal” and value.
Did you know that our residential maintenance plans are a great way to perform periodic maintenance in your home and prevent small maintenance items from becoming big and costly repairs?
How to start?
Best starting point is taking a note pad and writing a list of all items that you are aware require maintenance, repairs, or improvements.
With this initial list contact us for an assessment of your list, and at your option, perform a general inspection of your home.
With our jointly-identified items can then propose an action plan.
How much does it cost to complete projects lists?
Price varies depending on the scope. Projects lists can be as short as two maintenance items and as long as a dozen or two.
The advantage of projects lists is that the more projects are in the least the lower the average repair cost.
Given the many possible combinations of projects we would only be able to provide an estimate after an on-site diagnostic.
