What types of special projects can ServiceBeaver do?
Many things! Below is a list of projects that we have completed that were otherwise not easy to address:
- Chair repair
A customer had a favorite chair that had broken with time. The exact replacement part wasn’t readily available so we built a special steel solution in our shop to make it functional again.
- Custom backyard post and roof front covers
Another customer wanted a very unique look for their pool area posts and roof front, which were metallic. We fabricated special covers made out of select pine and stained them to their liking. We then installed these covers on-site and delivered the look and feel that she had envisioned.
- Plumbing pipe protection
A customer’s AC room had a number of plumbing pipes laid near the AC units. As AC techs visited their property and worked in the AC units they involuntarily damaged these plumbing pipes by accidentally stumbling on them, or stepping on them. Our solution was a two-tier protection system that not only affixed the plumbing pipes to the floor, but also protected them from future accidental damages.
- Holiday decorations storage
A family had several large (human-sized and larger) holiday decorations and needed as simple method to store them during the year. We identified an accessible location in their garage and built a simple support/fastening mechanism to hold the decorations in place.
- Damaged men’s restroom partitions
A commercial customer had frequent damage in their men’s bathroom partitions. Due to the construction and desire to affect the space minimally we designed a spring-loaded support base that was securely installed against the wall in multiple points. This solution allowed the partitions to flex and move within a certain tolerance when hit by a bathroom user.
- Special canopy/cover
A customer had recently purchased pool equipment and did not want these costly components to be under the direct sunlight and potentially be damaged over time. They had envisioned a form of canopy or tent-like construction that would be simple to install/remove, had a visual appeal to their backyard, and was budget-friendly. We made some research and found a particular canvas that was a great fit for the application. Installation was a breeze, holding it to the home’s exterior wall and surrounding structures (fence, yard). Customer was very happy with the result, especially with the visual appearance.
Our methods and resources
We believe that anything is possible, if you can think it, it can be done, and while we don’t claim to be able to bring every idea to life we are certainly willing to try! Below are several of the resources we have to work on your projects:
- Multi-material welder
- Metal shop tools
- Woodworking shop including planner and other woodworking tools
- Tools for special materials (resins, plastics, fiberglass, others)
- Spray paint booths

How much do special projects cost?
Price varies depending on the scope and complexity of the solution. We are quite mindful of the importance of keeping costs reasonable and will always strive to offer budget-friendly solutions. Please do keep in mind though that the intrinsic nature of special projects involves special tools, methods, and often times research and tests; with this in mind, special projects are not always inexpensive, but when done right, they meet your expectations at a reasonable price point.
